how i love thee like an autumn day

i have abandoned you....i am sorry from the bottom of my heart.  I could moan about my crazy schedule working 5 days a week, djing 6 nights a week, but you'd probably start playing tiny violins at me so i'll refrain.

LA was a blast - Loving the Thompson at Beverly Hills - Med has a magic touch for sure!
Teddys was exactly as i left it (but in a good way not a time warp way).  It was like trying on a favourite pair of old jeans after losing themand finding out they still fit and i hadn't got fat their absence.  Oh i missed thee.

My trip was marred by the sad occurance of DJAM's death.  He was one of the DJ's that inspired me to make the big break into DJing and pursue it as a real career rather than a fun little past time.  He made me realise there was real creativity and musical talent behind truly great DJ's and he was an inspiration to me.  You will be sadly missed by all that loved and met you.

LA was also on fire during my trip - the hills were swathed in a mystical cloak of smoky haze which to the westerly residents of LA was a lot more magical than i'm sure it was to the foothills residents.  When i flew back to London, we flew directly over the fires as the sun was setting.  Probably one of the spookiest things i've seen in a long time.

So back i am in London town as the days are getting shorter and the nights chillier...but the death of summer brings my favourite season...autumn where i get to be a brat and demand lots of presents (for my impending birthday hint hint) and I start contemplating my great migration from the cold.

I'm keeping up residencies at Cuckoo on Tuesday, Maddox on wednesday, Whisky Mist on Thursdays, Maddox again on fridays and The Ivy on Saturdays, with once a month soirees at the fabulous Old Queens Head in Angel also....

I'm going through a very big new jack swing phase right now and i defy anyone to tell me that a bit of bobby brown, K7 and wreckx - n- effects are not the perfect combination for a party.  It's even made me drop my cool and calm exterior and shake my rump like the rump shaker i am (cringe).

Oh, i discovered a new drive by technique from the lonely drunk men at the end of the night...."tell me...what time does the venue close?" - (my reply)"4am" - "great - i'll be waiting for you outside" ........which just results in me hiding in the venue kitchen  doing shots with the waiters until the last table has been polished.  Hey i'm not unapproachable but jesus...don't stalk me!!

Anyway, you'll know if you've got a parking pass, otherwise drive on buddy, drive on!
